Versyss Update –
Software Update for 2005 1099s and W2s

ATTENTION PAYROLL / ACCOUNTING MANAGERS:
11/1/06
Versyss has
released a software update containing changes to accommodate the use of new
two digit codes in Box 12. Effective for 2006 W2’s, the IRS has added two new codes,
“AA” and “BB” to designate Roth contributions to a section 401(k) plan or a
section 403(b) salary reduction agreement. For more information,
please click her to read instructions for the W2 and W3 forms. The first page contains information about
the new codes.
If you have a need to use either of
these two new codes for your employees, you will need to have this update
installed on your system, as it currently will only handle 1-digit codes in Box 12.
Please email support@versyss.com
and put “W2 Update Needed” in the subject of the email. Our team will contact you to schedule the
update as soon as possible.
If you do not need to use these codes then it is not urgent that you get
this update at this point; however, we would recommend that you do request
that it is scheduled for early next year to that you can keep your payroll
software current with the latest release.

Print W2’s to Laser.
If you use
our VTERM software, this year you will have the ability to print your W2’s
on your laser printer with preprinted Laser Forms, and save money. Email support@versyss.com
for more information about this as well.

For customers with an active Software Maintenance
Agreement, this update is
provided free of charge as a benefit of your Software Maintenance
Agreement.

Agreement, the cost for this
